 The minimum temperature at Mount Abu Station, Fatehpur, Churu has dropped to 10 degree Celsius today. First, the mercury dropped here. Bikaner temperature has also reached the deposition point. The entire state was caught by surprise with strong cold winds that lasted till last night.

Here, due to the temperature reaching 1 degree in Bikaner, it has snowed for the first time this season. According to meteorologists, people will now face cold winter before January 20.

 

When you observe the published report of Jaipur Meteorological Centre, Churu recorded a minimum of -0.7 degree Celsius today. Till yesterday, the minimum temperature was 8.2 degree Celsius. Similarly, in Sikar Fatehpur, the temperature was recorded from 3.5 to 7.5 degree Celsius. 

Here, the snow froze in an iron net to protect the pipes and fields for irrigation in the fields. At the same time, dew drops were also seen on the ground. The mercury also reached freezing point in Fatehpur, Churu, Bikaner and its rural areas. Today the minimum Bikaner temperature was recorded at 1.1. Winter levels are increasing in the Jaisalmer Desert region. Last night the minimum temperature was 3.9 degree Celsius, which is the lowest temperature of this winter season.

Yesterday afternoon, a cold wave started across north Rajasthan. Several districts like Jaipur, Ajmer, Nagaur, Sikar, Churu, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Dausa witnessed strong cold winds in the afternoon leading to a drop in the night minimum temperature in these cities. 

Mercury down after a week in Mount Abu

After staying at mercury plus for 7 days on Mount Abu, the maximum temperature dropped on Saturday. 7 degrees: With a major drop of 7 degrees, the mercury touched 4 degrees on Saturday. The winter brought relief to the people in the city for 7 days. 

But when the mercury came down to 4 degrees on Saturday morning, there was a sheet of snow everywhere in the morning. On January 5 of this season, the temperature in the city was 6 degrees. Sudden winter has come in the city, temperature: 4 degree has snowed flowers, vehicles, bicycles, pastures and crops at night. By morning, there was a fog in the plains. The mercury itself recorded itself at 17 degrees Celsius, owing to a maximum temperature drop of 0.5 degrees.

Mount Abu with mercury-4 has been observed on snow in various areas including Dilwara, Manchgaon, Kumharwada, Santasarovar, Gurushikhar, Oriya, open land, flower leaves blooming in gardens. Normal life gets affected due to the intensity of winter. 

All records were beaten in January last year. In January 2022, the mercury was minus 15 days in the month and three times the mercury was zero. Last year on January 14, Mount Abu recorded a maximum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius. At the same time, on January 5 of this year, he recorded the lowest temperature: 6 degrees. 

This Time no relief now

Director of Meteorological Department, Jaipur, Radheshyam said that there will be no respite from winter at Mount Abu station till January 19. Apart from this, the minimum temperature will drop by one to two degrees. Nevertheless, the cold continues unabated, which has led to extended winters. Till January 19, there will be an intense winter in the same way and the mercury will remain low and low. 

Director of Jaipur Meteorological Centre, Radheshyam Sharma said that Rajasthan winter will intensify next week. The Meteorological Department issued an orange notice which will soon be in place in 12 districts from January 15 to 17. 

He issued warnings for Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Sikar, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, Nagaur and Sriganganagar. Apart from this, alert was issued for Pali, Jodhpur, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Jaipur, Chittorgarh, Bundi, Bhilwara and Ajmer. 

He also expressed apprehension that due to cold wave during the next 4-5 days the crops were raised in time and agriculture experts were raised in the crops. For this, agricultural experts have suggested to do some irrigation in the fields, so that the rabi crops do not get damaged due to frost.
